Neighborhood You may be surprised to know that the Santa Cruz neighborhood is a neighborhood designed largely for the 1929 Iberoamerican Exhibition, in areas of the original location of the Jewish quarter. It is an interpretation of the old Jewish quarter, but if you want to see the remains of the authentic Sevillian Jewish quarter you will need to walk through it. If you pay attention, you will find small bronze plaques on the floor or walls that define the primitive limits of the Jewish quarter, which was also defended by an interior wall with doors that were closed at night. On Calle Fabiola you can still see a small remnant of those walls. Don't miss the Calle Verde.
